A new direction for the Million line

Rabanne launched Million Gold in 2024 as a new signature for the Million line that began with 1 Million in 2008. It came out alongside a women’s version, Million Gold For Her. The men’s bottle is a smooth, rounded gold bar with a door-knocker ring on the front, and the campaign stars the singer Moses Sumney.
The perfumers are Christophe Raynaud, who also worked on the original 1 Million, and Quentin Bisch. Where 1 Million is built on sweet cinnamon, leather and amber, Million Gold swaps the sweetness for sandalwood and cedar, so it reads as a woody scent with a citrus opening rather than a sweet one.
Million Gold, Elixir or the original 1 Million?

If you want something woody and creamy that works most of the year, pick the Eau de Parfum Intense on this page. Million Gold Elixir, from 2025, keeps the mandarin and sandalwood and adds vanilla, so it’s sweeter, warmer and better for cold evenings.
The original 1 Million Eau de Toilette, in the angular gold-ingot bottle, is still sold. It’s much sweeter, with cinnamon, leather and amber, and louder. Buy it if you want the classic crowd-pleaser; buy Million Gold if you want the same brand in a more understated style.
